It would make the stats for our sites more usefully accessible if:

    A. The 3-letter abbreviation or a 2-digit numeric representation for the
actual month were used instead of "day"; and

    B. If the date were always generated with two digits, with a leading
zero for 1-9, instead of one or two, so that the dates would sort into
actual order instead of as they are currently:

 stats.0.html 21-Feb-98 02:05 6k
 stats.Feb.html 03-Mar-98 17:48 35k
 stats.day.1.html 02-Mar-98 01:27 14k
 stats.day.17.html 18-Feb-98 01:22 2k
 stats.day.18.html 19-Feb-98 01:22 6k
 stats.day.19.html 20-Feb-98 01:22 3k
 stats.day.2.html 03-Mar-98 01:24 17k
 stats.day.20.html 21-Feb-98 01:22 4k
 stats.day.21.html 22-Feb-98 01:23 2k
 stats.day.22.html 23-Feb-98 01:23 6k
 stats.day.23.html 24-Feb-98 01:23 2k
 stats.day.24.html 25-Feb-98 01:22 14k
 stats.day.25.html 26-Feb-98 01:24 16k
 stats.day.26.html 27-Feb-98 01:25 15k
 stats.day.27.html 28-Feb-98 01:23 14k
 stats.day.28.html 01-Mar-98 01:24 11k
 stats.day.3.html 04-Mar-98 01:26 19k
 stats.day.4.html 05-Mar-98 01:23 22k
 stats.html 28-Feb-98 02:06 32k

Note above that day.2 comes after day.19, and day.3 comes after day.28; in a
month with 30 or 31 days, day.4 would come after day .3x.
