out of memory

Hi there and happy new year !
When I run splitlog on my server I get always an "out of memory" reply. The
size of my access log is 97 Mo. Is it too much ?
(running directly wwwstat does the same of course)
So far I did :
	splitlog -n '^/solagral' -x
Which is expected to concentrate on a unique URL discarding any other
logfile entries (then without writing an "Others.log"). Did I misunderstood
something ?
Else, how may I reduce more the memory charge of the process ? Else, any
other idea, beside being hosted by another server :-?
May be someone will answer asking me how much memory is available on my
server. Well, I don't know exactly (not much in any case, around 32Mo I
guess). I cannot join my sysop and I don't know the Unix command to display
the system configuration. Please give me the command name if you can.
Thank you by advance,

Erik BERNARD
