Hacked version of wwwstat - new version, or new name?

Hi all,

I have done a bit of work to hack 'visits' into wwwstat (ie, a group of
requests in a limited period of time), and would like to share what I have
done, but I don't know how I should proceed - should I just give it a new
name, and handle the distribution myself, does someone 'official' here (IS
anyone here official?) want to link it to the web page, or even look over
the changes and make it wwwstat2.1 or some such?

Because it fundamentally changes the output (adds in sections for visits
and percent of visits), it's not going to be compatible with older
versions ( it seems there should be a better way to store old data),
without a lot more if statements, and.. it's already got an OldHeader
variable. If we have to do this each time it changes, it could get ugly
quick..

So.. I still have a bit of work left to do, but in the meantime, your
advice, comments and suggestions are welcome.

Thanks:-)
