BUG at "base" method.

Hello,
This specific code fails for this specific url with the error message at
the point where $res->base is called.:
>Can't call method "url" on an undefined value at
C:/Perl/site/lib/HTTP/Response.
>pm line 170.

CODE:
my $ua = new LWP::UserAgent;
$url =  "http://www.merrimack-valley-fcu.org";
my $req = new HTTP::Request('GET', $url);
my $res = $ua->request($req);
print "OK\n";
my $base_url = $res->base;
