LWP::Simple::post, also ping request

First of all, is this list functioning?

Second, if it is, I have a proposed API enhancement to add a post
function in a similar spirit to the get function.

Third, I have a proposed adition to both get and post, to allow
simple sending of cookies.

Fourth, I have a patch for lwp-request.PL, adding a -H flag, as
discussed with Gisle Aas.

If any of these are of interest, let me know.
