DON'T use the URI-URL module with libwww.
Use the URI 1.00 module.
That's how I got it to work with perl 5.005_02 on Solaris.

Well, to be specific, I installed URI-URL first but that didn't work,
then I installed URI 1.00 "on top of" URI-URL (since there is no
uninstall for perl modules) and that worked.
