Hello,
I've already tried to post this message some days ago, but it
didn't seem to go through. Sorry in advance if ever the first message
arrives as a duplicate.
I am in the process of writing a CSS parser package. The first
version of it seems to work quite fine, but it doesn't yet fully support
CSS2 (though it should be enough for 99% of stylesheets that you are likely
to find out there). The package has been made as close as possible to
HTML::Parser, so that it would be home-like to those that have already used
the latter. By itself, it does nothing but parse but I am in the course of
writing other modules to subclass it and make more interesting things with
it, like map a stylesheet to an HTML page in order to be aware of the styles
that are applied to that page (and for example, discard parts that have a
style property like display:none or visibility:hidden.
I shall be releasing it fairly soon, but meanwhile I would have
liked to know if any of you has any idea of features that I could add to it
while I am working on it. Also, at first I had thought of putting it under
HTML (HTML::CSS), but as my ideas proliferate, I tend to think that CSS::
would be better. Any comments ?
Have a nice day,
Robin
