     Erm...as I understand it the name of the file does something between
     nil and zilch in this case.  All that should matter is what is in the
     header...?

     So instead of, "You need the right header too of course." you should
     be saying, "This serves only as a reminder to put the right header
     in."

A simple solution is to call the cgi exactly as the file would be called if it w
as a
file. (Much as you can call a cgi 'teste.gif' to produce a gif on the fly)  You
need
the right header too of course.
