Closing Tags for tr, td

I have a perl application in which I transverse html coming from various
web servers.  One server makes extensive use of tables, which includes
various <tr> </tr>, <td> </td> combinations.

However after feeding this html into HTML::parse the end tags are all
dropped.  Is there any way I can preserve them?  Do I need to hack
HTML::Treebuilder to get this to be supported?
