Yup. Actually, in a couple of cases, it seems not to be that the code
itsn't working, but that the sites are forbidding access via robots.
There are also potential copyright issues.

I've not heard of any place more specific than this, though
WWW::Search has no real relation to LWP other than using it.

For the right amount of money, I'd be willing to consider working on
some of the code on a contractual basis. I have some experience with
it, having rewritten the HotBot module (before HotBot decided to
forbid robots from its service).
Of course, if you mean "for free", then, well, you have the source
code.
