Ah, now that's why it had a familiar ring :-)

In the beginning was libwww-perl-0.40, then came libwww-perl-5-0.1.
Then our tongues became completely muddled, and it got shortened to
LWP. It did not become WWW, because this is only one particular interface,
and we are merely mortal souls not worhty of the name WWW.
I agree it can cause confusion. We'll have to ponder alternatives.
LibWeb.pm? WebLib.pm? Anything more exotic?
