Wow, we got quite a few offers!

Martijn: Offered but possible reachability/performace problems.
Joel: Offered but notes that it may be better to centralise.
Roy: Use existing UCI archive (fast machine and connection)
but notes that updates may be slow.

Plus assorted other offers and ideas (thanks to everyone).

Some thoughts:

	A. Most modules are going to be relatively small.

	B. Posting to the mailing lists should be the primary
distribution mechanism within the mailing lists.

	C. Given A and B above the archive will be mainly for
	   distributing to end users.

Roy, are you happy to a) give reasonable priority to updating contrib
from either mailing list postings or ftp.ics.uci.edu:/incoming, and
b) provide space for CGI modules as well as libwww-perl modules ?

If so then I'd suggest we take up Roy's offer and other ftp sites
should mirror the contents of the UCI libwww-perl tree.

If not then perhaps Joel's machine would be the next best alternative.

Is that agreeable?

Regards,
Tim.
